These UHMWPE hard armour panels are supplied as a pair and carry a manufacturer-stated NIJ IIIA rating. The rigid polyethylene construction is designed to be lightweight while providing a stiff protective plate for use inside a compatible plate carrier. They are intended for handgun threat levels and do not provide rifle or NIJ III and above protection.

Single curve or multi curve?

Both options carry the same manufacturer-stated NIJ IIIA protection and shooters-cut shape — the difference is fit. Single-curve plates curve in one direction and sit a little flatter, which keeps the cost down. Multi-curve plates are contoured in more than one direction to follow the torso more closely, for a more comfortable, ergonomic fit and better range of motion over longer periods of wear. That extra shaping is why the multi-curve option costs slightly more.
